I'm not sure but I think you would need a modem set up to your computer with your wireless phone. I think because of the signal, it has to be a landline. Again, don't hold this to me. I do know XP has a fax component you can install with your original disk. It does not automatically install when first built. And if your using Vista, your on your own. I can't even get vista to use my own raid controller. I will send you a PM with the requirements.

Do you have a digital camera? Heck even the one on your phone will work if you can connect it to your laptop. I use a program called Snapter, not sure on the web address, but google it you'll find it. Take a picture of the document load it into snapter, and it cleans it up making it look like you ran it through a flatbed scanner. Next step get a program called cutepdf writer, which will turn that photo into a PDF file. You can then get your dispatcher's email address, and email him the document. I don't bother with sending faxes anymore to my company, and they are more than happy with what I send them with this method. And the cost is nothing.

ME TOO! Virizon promised me when I bought my aircard ( with a 2 yr contract) it would be no problem .... yeah right ( N O T ) Though the air card has a phone number it wont call out or receive a phone call. So much for using the "Systems Fax Printing" capabilities. Even when you go into the properties and set it up as a modem. Virizon told me the card would see the all-in-one once it was hooked up N O T. So when you get Fax service you have to manually scan in a 20 page contract put in some form word? then email it to them?

Anyone have a broker email the contract? Do you scan the page you have to sign and then replace the original page with the signed new version and email back? How many brokers are set up to email a contract?

I cant believe with all the technology in the world it is so difficult to get a solution to using a fax machine mobile.

The cell phone guys say I need an intelligent cell phone. Like the air card guys told me theirs would work. Like every other sales person say anything to close the deal.

$60 month for cell and $60 month for the air card and still cant fax arrrggggggghhhhhhhhhhhhhh!

If anyone has figured this all out PLEASE let me know.

    thanks in advance.

Let's see ... you already have Internet access with your aircard, right?

You already have an All-in-One (Scanner & Printer) right?

Google....pFax ...... provides your very own Fax number ... Unlimited incoming faxes ... for $5.95 per month ...

and to send ... they charge by the page ... $0.069 per page. (Sound like a great deal !!)

Google....eFax ...... provides your very own fax number ... 130 incoming pages per month and 30 outgoing pages per month for a whopping $16.95 per month.

This sounds like a no brainer !!
