Agree, I don't remember ever paying for showers as a team driver either.
It is free with the fuel purchase.

They stopped hireing out of Florida for awhile because they don't have enough loads to get people home and back when they need to go. That may have changed again, so call and ask before you waste alot of time.

They are starting to recruit drivers straight into the leaseing program so you can call Mark H. in Alliance to get info on that. They made a bigger push a few months ago to put newbs into lease trucks and that backfired. A bunch of the trucks are coming back. Drivers straight off grad fleet don't have enough experience to run on a lease and make any money.

If you and your trainer go to the fuel counter at most of the big chains, they will "tie" your rewards cards together, so that when one of you gets a free shower, it shows up on the others card as well.

What, since when are they doing this. I know that petro is the worst one when it comes to teams because you have to go in the store , both of you and tell them it is a team and to put it on both cards. But nobody gets double points and showers for teams, but TA and pilot gives teams 2 showers, but this is just my experience

I believe that flying hook is the only one where u link the cards together. All others u ask for team ahowers.

Hi Fozzy (and everyone else that trained with Steven's), I was just wondering if anyone had any women in their class and if so, did she have any issues getting assigned to a trainer?

I only ask because I've heard that at some companies you end up waiting months for their females trainers to get close enough to pick you up. I've been working on getting into trucking and Steven's was on my short list. Any information would be great.

    Thanks!

I remember years ago that we had several women and we all pull for these women to get trainers quickly. Stevens seemed at the time to be concern about their women drivers, or atleast when I was there. Two of them got male trainers. The rest got women trainers.I saw all of this because I waited about three days and saw all this transpire. They all got trainers before me. I think we had about six females in the class. My problem getting a trainer I think was that I was a non-smoker.

    techiekate29 Thanks this.
