I need a nap no way round it. Dont wanna invent parking. They should a trip planned better if they didn't wanna spend 5 hours of they life beside a stinkin ### cow truck with a bunch o mooin an stompin calves is all I can tell em

Pretty brave driving that thing that far. Lol.

Only Ford pickup I ever owned was I think an ‘82 F150. I bought it used in Norman and it lost 3rd gear on the (normally) two hour drive home.

    Never bought another Ford.

No dont throw parts at it. Figure it out. Get someone with a prolink. Check gauge, ecm, reading and compair. Now I dont recall if that IH gauge is mechanical, electrical. It may get its reading from ecm or independent sensor right below ecm in main oil rifle. Might have to install a manual gauge and compair. Seldom have I seen the oil psi sensor fail. Normally it's the cam/engine position sensor below air compressor, between oil pump with a white, red, green wire. It causes a false low oil psi with ecm. Look for the rubber boot swelled or leaking oil. Next would be it needs to see fuel psi before the ecm will fire the injectors too. But you and other have to stop with the idea of changing parts and that a code tells you what failed. The code tells you what system is affected, not the cause. However this normally, not always causes a CEL. It's all diagnostic tests. This is hard to help with not being there and I'm trying to help and lead you the right direction. I've asked some questions you have not answered. So I can't recommend changing any parts. A fool and his money is bound to part ways.

You know something, I sold it to a buddy that later put 1 piston and a set of rings in it. No bearings, same worn cam. He hauled his coon dogs hunting in it. Them bought a 1992, and gave me the 1986 back. Drove that pile 3 more years to and fro work 30 miles each way. Frame went at like 335k. Only time it let me down was the shifter came Out of the trans on a date. OUT whole fing thing. Never got a second date, and Monday it went to work. It had been rolled on each side, pinned between trees too. It was the best worst little truck.
