It looks like I'm taking my 7-year-old son with me probably for the next 3 weeks!

Just hit the store and bought a PSP for him. Hoping between that and the laptop movies he'll manage to stay entertained.

    Wish me luck!

GOOD-LUCK. I spent my whole childhood in a truck with my dad. I am glad I did. Hopefully you and your son will have a good experience.

No offense Bigray, but if you park next to me running a gasoline powered generator, expect a knock on your door asking you to shut it off. I'd rather not die in the middle of the night from carbon monoxide poisoning.

    That is, unless:

    1. It has a catalytic converter.

    or...

    2. It runs on propane.

Uncatalysed exhaust from a small engine contains a whopping amount of CO.

All this talk of A/C is really disheartening when a guy ain't got any!!

Rob, I'm sure your son will love the ride.

I would guess you could run a pipe with a muffler next to the stack high enough to get rid of the gasses and most of the sound ? Walt

I was the same way when I was a kid. Traveling with me was a nightmare. One time my dad got brave and had me go with him on a short run. He said I was as quiet as a mouse and never fussed. Well, not until it was time to get outta the truck.
