I think I understand the basics of the steering cylinders function. Logically, if any air is trapped in the systems lines or cylinders it might cause oversteer/bounce feedback cycle.

Are there any particular bleeding methods used for this setup?

From what I can see you have a broken leaf spring near the zerk fitting.

HA! Good catch, officer, it's not the main leaf, but that probably would put you out of service. Besides, you have no business running a truck like this over a state scale anyway. Hate springs, hate, ( not much choice on the steer) I've found, if one leaf breaks, others usually follow suit. Pulling spring ride trailers years ago, broken leafs were as common as flat tires. Those are 2 aspects of old time trucking I'll never miss.

@OLDSKOOLERnWV wasnt someone talking about this steering setup a few weeks back, or am I misunderstanding / mis remembering what that setup was?
Someone was saying a lady at a scalehouse made them get tightened up, at which point it wouldn’t steer at all?

    OLDSKOOLERnWV Thanks this.

    That's exactly what It Does..

From (Dim Dark distant memory) The Pin the Drag link connects to is a Lever, That is connected to a Slide Valve that sits under those 4 Hose Ports, Which either opens or closes the Ram. The Pin is Steel & the body of the Slide valve is Alloy which used to wear, causing the symptoms you've described.

i was very familiar with the Internal working of Mine.. But,It was a 1/3rd of a century ago, so i may have some of It wrong....

Not a broken leaf. Notice the second leaf from the clean side. Same on the other side but it looks broken because of the oil/dirt.
