peir 1 imports, you get that run its all driver unload, i think the p1 loads pay 50 bucks each stop, get a good nights rest before delivering them. specialy if those dang monkey is on the trl..
lumpers and drop and hooks is what you will see 99% of the time, unless your running on the east coast with like a billion stops to make at the mom n pop shops, then thats all you.

S2B, 43k is about all you will do with the Volvo. You may squeeze a bit more in the box, depending on the box.
Just get an empty weight with full tanks as you said you were going to do, and play with those numbers. While the trailers may be different. The only real cause for concern would be when you are right at the max.
I wouldn't try to get a weight on every trailer you guys have. The shop can help you determine which brand is heaviest, if you want to wait until you're hooked to one of those for an empty weight. -

Thought of one more thing with the max weights. My wife and I have had two loads, one was 30K and one was 37K that were 3,700lbs and 2,600lbs over on the tandems respectfully. I'll grant we opened the trailer and said "nope" but still... just saying it's under x weight, I won't worry about it... We worry about 25K loads because we've had some that were close on the tandems.
Red Fox Thanks this. -
had to deliver today, had to weight on the way in, loaded weight, and when leaving, empty weight.
empty and with a 1/4 tanks my emtpy total weight is 32,240
thats on a single platform scale, i wanna hit a cat to see each weight for the s d and t -
W/S never taught you to weigh s,d,t's on a single platform??? It can be done.

I can't tell you how many times I've helped a new guy out with this one
Some of them still drove off with their eyes glazed over, like we had just discussed the design plan for the Starship Enterprise.Red Fox Thanks this. -
Oh the memories! LOL!

no they didnt., but i loaded up in great falls at GM and it was a platform scale, and iv never done a platform before, actually after 9 months of driving it was the very first load i ever had to weigh---i was a short line driver in the NE, all i pulled was furniture. maybe 10k max was all i ever hauled.
anyway, i was lucky enough to be at GM while another one our drivers was there. and he showed me how to do it, of course i didnt understand what he was talking about, after 45 mins of trying to figure it out, he finally got mad, cause i was holding him up, jumped in the trk with me and showed me, then it all came together,
but, as far as weighing it yesterday, i really couldnt do it sdt, they needed me off the scale asap. -
It really aint that bad or time consuming to be honest. Just get a calc. and a piece of paper handy once you have it figured out. See if Mark or someone in Missoula will give you lift out to the papermill in Frenchtown for a quick demo.
