I think what KH is doing is a pretty good thing.. and even though he isn't a driver who cares... His opinion might be based on the analysis of the figures and clauses that he can find about the leases and not about the truck driving aspect.. I for one see no problem with stating an opinion about the various companies lease options especially not from an analytical stand point

However I do agree to use everyone's advice of using his opinon and data as a reference but to still do your own homework if actually looking into the idea of leasing..

    Just my $.02 worth

I don't think anyone has a problem with him pointing out the leases. At least I think that's what he's doing. I can't see his posts personally. They have a problem with him insinuating that he has experience when he doesn't. He never flat out says it but it's implied in what he says. He passes on second hand info like it's personal experience. You'r new nighthawk so you don't know but this is a long term ongoing thing around here. The guys just want it to be known by anyone reading what the true KH experience is. on more then one occasion we have seen people taking advice from him on subjects he has absolutely no understanding of.
I don't care how much you read, study whatever on trucking. Untill you've been in the trenches you never truely understand

From what I've been reading of them it seems as if mainly basing it off of the lease info and not the experience.. I wasn't aware of the older stuff going around.. .Kinda comes from not having been on here long

And not that I have a lot of trucking experience but I do know what you mean that until ya have been in the trenches it would be hard to truely understand...

but you can take all the posted information a company puts out and diseminate it but without understanding how those companies operate and interact with their drivers that info is usless. I can go pick up a truck stop job magazine and show you false truths if not flat out bold face lies on every page of it but if you don't know the ompanies you wouldn't know that. that's what they rely on

This is soooooo true !!!! The nice part about this thread is anyone that has actually delt with any of the ones that he puts up here can point those desreptancies out to everyone :biggrin_255:

As you can tell I am in agreement on both sides to this thread... I agree its a good idea for KH to put the info up with his analytical opinion... and yet agree that it would be nice to have the added info from someone experienced with the various companies...

    panhandlepat and Baack Thank this.

It takes more than a permit to become a driver,............

AND if your so in tune with the industry,....WHY EVEN BECOME A DRIVER NOW???,.....You should know that most new drivers fail,.........This is the worse time in history to try to become a driver,.......

The only reason I still drive is I got very lucky to land a good job,..Those job's don't grow on trees,....

I like your thinking, unfortunately if your not part of the click, some of the experienced guys won't post anything useful, just hammer the young guys is all they are good for.

Heaven forbid there would be team work take place.
