    Hello
I have never driven for a 50/50 split of net? Owner says he covers repairs/ unless i cause damages which seems fair to me, so after fuel and broker fees/ dispatch is this a good deal? I like mileage pay I know how many miles to drive to get what pay and I am greedy, so the more miles the more money! but it seems i could end up driving a lot of mile and get paid less! Its a run from Atlanta to Dallas,Texas (I-10,I-20) NO FARTHER THAN I-35 and back to Atlanta!
He says he can gross from 2200 to 2400 a week and sometimes 2800-3200 a week? I use to run that for someone else and at .50 a mile i made 390.50 a run! and could do 3-4 runs a week ! 3 runs if I wanted to be home on that weekend! i hate percentage pay thats why I never took those type of driving jobs, it just always seemed as if you would be doing some driving for free! He also said he had been paying some drivers a 60/40 split of gross? which is better? Since i have no idea what the gross of each load is its hard for me figure if either way is best, except i guess 60/40 then i would be getting off the top before any of his other operating cost comes out! it seems by the mile is more clear cut but I know this way is better for him because it whats he wants to use thats business everywhere not just trucking when you work for some else! What's a hand to do? Thanks and GOD Bless

I would run the fastest you could the opposite way and don’t look back. There not gonna tell you the fine print until it happens.

60/40 of the gross to the truck works for my drivers. As I posted somewhere else, I let the drivers decide which side they want, the person who takes 60% pays for fuel and gets 100% of the fsc.

When it comes to money, I only trust in God. Everyone else needs to show a receipt.

This guy could be honest with his accounting but it's your income.

I will say this, Peter Mayhew played Chewbacca. His deal was a percentage of the net profits. He shared a letter a few years ago from lucasfilm telling him that Return of the Jedi has still yet to make a profit. Just something to think about

Several so-called movie stars fell for that scam. Creative book keeping kept the actors from making even one penny on a movie that raked in 10's of millions of dollars.
