If you bought another white truck, would you still black out the top off the hood?

Yup! If I ordered a new white one I would probably take it a step further and have the roof, visor, hood top, and front fenders in black, as well as all shiney crap blacked out as well (except the wheels) from factory.

But now that "fleet white" isnt the only choice for the next one, I dont know what I'd do. Hopefully I've got a few more years to ponder it before this one blows up or needs an inframe.

I won't own a white hood truck, my eyes are sensitive, and the reflection bothers them.

I will have to look and see if I have any straps that have 5400 pound ratings, all my old kenadyne straps wre rated at 5000, except for a few very old thicker ones that are rated at 12000, but I haven't bought any straps in over 10 years either.
I also have not checked the laws in years, but am fairly certain the limit used to be 4000 for 4 in and 2500 for 2 in. I guess I need to do a little research.
I have 2 white trucks, the slope nose never bothered me, but I haven't really driven it in a while. With the way our Alaska sun hangs right in your eyes for hours, the W9l hood has been giving me fits lately to the point I was fixing to paint it black. I went to the eye doctor last week and am scheduled for cataract surgery, so that may be what changed. I will wait and see if it gets better before I paint it.

Flat black or brown...nothing shiny or light colored is my preference. You can just get the top of the hood wrapped.

I have owned this truck since 05 and always before just wearing sunglasses was fine. My eyes have been changing a bunch the last few months and sunglasses have quit cutting it. I am hopeing that getting them fixed takes care of the problem, I really do not want a black hood. ll

I had lasik 3 years ago, huge difference. I also wear sunglasses 98% of the time i am outdoors or driving except after sunset. A big shiny white hood would be too much for me.
A nice flat brown is my preferred color.

I am the other way around, I never wore sunglasses until I moved up here and the sun just hangs right in your eyes for hours, instead of minutes.
I ask about lasik, and they told me they would not do it with the catarac surgery, supposedly I should only need reading glasses after the surgery, for 5000 grand more out of pocket they would put prescription lenses where I wouldn't even need the reading glasses, but no guarantee, so I opted out of that program.
I know I am in the wrong business, she gets 6 grand per eye and does 14 every day, and booked up for over a month. lol 4 minutes is all the actual surgery takes. lol

    Oxbow and MartinFromBC Thank this.
