Smooth as silk only 575 miles to go tomorrow. May be able to get it off tomorrow crossing my fingers. I have run 4233 miles in the last 8 days and done it legally. Plus I went home for a day while out. I keep the left door closed and turn the miles. Granted I have run the truck a little faster then I should have 65-68 mph avg but I just couldn't help myself after running 55-58 at Prime to make half the money I'm making here at JCT. Keep in mind most states I've been in are 70-75 mph states so I'm not breaking the law. I will eventually slow down to 63-64 mph avg the truck seems to like that speed with fuel and pulling hills. But I feel like a kid again having fun working!

Yeah dreading the drive through Illinois and Ohio both tomorrow. I ran 100 extra today to make up for those wonderful states.

Trip planning here at JCT is absolutely critical, I sit down with my Truckstop Book, Calculator, Internet (Weather.com) and Microsoft Street and Trips and plan my entire trip down to the mile, break spots and hours and I allow some problem time in there for traffic or construction. I think so many people start a trip blind and that's not only a setup for failure but it's dangerous. I will go as far as checking construction on roads in the states I'm traveling by going to each states website taking a quick glance. The first time I didn't do this I got burned in Utah for 2 hrs in construction that I could have avoided by taking I-15 to I-84 east. I go to Flying J, Pilot, Loves, and TA and check fuel prices daily. All this takes less then 15 minutes for me to do.

Yes it's a walk away lease. 90% of the drivers I have met here or talked to on the CB have said they are happy, but you run some miles here and their right.

Yea I understand what you mean. Is this your reefer job? I mean if you've been hauling reefers before you shpuld know especially produce you'll have multiple picks and gotta stand at the dock waiting. If it was a meat load you shouldve went to bed. Reefer isn't like hauling dry freight if you haven't done it before. You'd be sleeping at odd hours.

You know if you're gonna bash everything we post on here you should go somewhere else to do it cuz have you been in the REALITY lately? Name one company that won't try to persuade a driver to cover a load for them. Even your favorite Stevens or Prime does the same #### thing so don't give me that bs.

Alan don't sweat this guy he couldn't cut it at Prime either. Surprised he still uses that screen name, he has another I'll let ya know it. Some people just enjoy complaining about another company, funny thing you would think they would at least have a good company to brag about. Shoot I'll put down Prime because I earned that right to. I was a successful lease operator who got tired of Rob Low's hand getting deeper in my pocket each year.
