Is AJ still a FM? That guy was fantastic. I would work on his board again in a heartbeat.

Progressive shift rather than leaving it in automatic all the time. My MPG for this quarter is 7.662. 50/55/1250 is my Fuel bonus motto. 50mph if empty and legal to run that slow. 55mph if loaded. 1250rpm if on steep climb

I haven't yet had time to go that slow...I just do 60 - 63 mph all the time, when the speed limit permits anyway.

    Seems to be working OK.

LOL That's exactly how I was with my 01 Century. I arranged with my FM to be one of the last ten to trade for an 05 when they were new. I told him to make me the last guy and he did his best. When I dropped mine the other 8 or 9 drivers were also in route. Boy did I know it. That 05 was the worst truck that I ever had. I more problems with the first 20K that I ever did with another truck. Heck the AC went out in the first twelve hours I had it. The next day the cruise went out and the radio basically caught fire in the dash and started smoking. I had to tear the dash apart on the side of the highway and yank the wires out of the back. Had so many problems with the drive shafts cracking (it was a recall on the 05's) that I ended up trading it for an 04 that they loaned up in gary to go over to USS to grab my load. That 04 was the nastiest truck I ever got into but it ran and rode great so when I got back to Gary I asked Mike if I could just keep that one and I would clean it up. That was the last I ever saw of an 05. Most drivers that got them had lots of problems but the 04's seemed to be alot better trucks. I have never care for new trucks anyways. I would rather have one that's broke in already.

I ran 62 loaded with them and 60 empty. I avg 7, sometimes better sometimes worse depending on terrain and weight.

I77 through WV killed my MPG's this week...6.992 mpg.

Having to idle all night the other night in Priceville, AL didn't help either. And having to idle during the day here in OH ain't doing next weeks average any good either.

I enjoy that road myself (the curves), I'm one of those guys that enjoys actually driving as opposed to holding the steering wheel...but I77 through there is not great for MPG's
