MATS is just a couple hrs away from my house and I've yet to ever make it there. Maybe next year will be different.

I wonder if anyone at Eclipse has ever read your posts? I wonder if this thread will ever make it's way on a computer screen there in Beatrice? In a world of infinite possibilities...

I mentioned to Earl that "word on the street is the high paying loads are in the Upper Midwest." It was a funny moment for me. Can't explain why. It was almost like I told him he was speaking straight into the "cb radio" with everything he says. lol

Looks like you're netting about $1k a week take home even with your daily mis-haps at the start. That works I would say?!?! If you've gotten over your mis-hap phase you can stick to paying yourself a K or less and start banking the cash you typically spend on mis-haps for a new truck ...or maybe purchasing a trailer to increase your net? Dump trailers can/will last 30 years or more (especially in the dirty south)....and cost about 30K brand new. You fork out 1K a month for a trailer....you do the math as to what a good next investment would be ;)

OK....do any of you have experience with DT powered 4300's? I'm considering getting a flat deck 4300 and am trying to figure what it will return MPG wise. I'm hoping for 12 empty and 10 loaded. The van version supposedly returns 8 or 9 loaded pulling a 13-6 wall. Would also consider an M2 or other 20-26K truck....but the DT powered 4300 seems like a best bet for reliability and repair costs. My loads will be pretty light, so I'm looking at one with 4.1 or 3.55 gears to maximize my mpg's. Ideally, I'd LOVE to net 12-13 overall, but am not sure it's doable. Input anyone?

This year was my first time there. It was awesome. My wife and I had a great time. She really liked the ARI Sleepers. We did not get out and about like we wanted regarding sight seeing around Louisville as we only had Saturday to spend there. Next year we plan to drive over Thursday and spend Friday and Saturday.

Here are the pics I took of the show:

Yes that's the gist of it. I actually just got an e-mail not 10 minutes ago from my dealer that they need the trailer off the books. Have to buy it or turn it in.

I don't know what's going to happen but things are going to change here pretty soon. I doubt I can buy it with the debt load on my credit report vs. new income.

Hey I fixed the undercarriage and the rest is nothing a bulldozer and a master welder couldn't fix! the rest is a year old, great tires etc.

If I know this place, they would forego a down payment to get the bank money. That could work in my favor. Otherwise I may have to do just that or rent one from Eclipse, which isn't the best deal in the world. Plus it would limit any side projects :biggrin_25511:

I hate it when others have me by the short hairs. :biggrin_25516:
