Any new information on saia trucking?

It is nice to not have to work for an ####### directly I must say, but it is nice to have atleast one or two around at the terminal at the lower level, maybe a dock supervisor or another driver, they are good for terminal morale as far as having someone to laugh at.

 

Just saw this job opening in buffalo the other day and thinking of applying. Wondering how strict they are about past accidents and if it would be a waste of time for me to apply. Currently have 21 months otr, with a dot reportable accident in May 2018, and no tickets.

 

Might be tough but it’s over a year. My buddy got hired and had a accident. He ripped off a car bumper on the street with Sysco and they hired him. It was less then a year. But we needed drivers desperately at the time. They could be in need badly. Never hurts to apply. I’ve I applied 4-5 times.

 

I hear there ads on the radio here in Syracuse NY. Looking for drivers. Guess they just opened a terminal here as well.

 

@Radman @USMC 3531 since having a bluetooth is restricted in saia. Wbu this bluetooth.

 

Haven't seen that, looks like a external speaker for a CB lol, as far as I know its still no phone no matter what the set up is, unless completely stopped then we can use the phone, we can run our phones through the stereo with one of those plug in cords, but still that is a no no also atleast as of right now, don't know if they will ever bend on the phone rule.

 

I can understand the no talking on the phone part, but they won’t even let you listen to a podcast or Amazon/ Pandora, etc?

 

You can listen to the radio or a podcast. Just no bluetooth.

 

Why would any qualified experienced driver work for saia?
