Because Saia pays overtime after 45 hours. A driver can earn up big bucks and after 10 years of service medical gets paid by saia. If in doubt ask @USMC 3531 :D he tell ya.

Yeh but you can make big bucks at ODFL, Estes, and other LTLS and not be stressed out about getting fired for talking on the phone. I don't get it

All not having a cam will do is make you tailgate, text while driving, surf the internet, and talk on a Bluetooth all day. I see this every day with besides Bluetooth not being a problem to me but the other stuff I mentioned about 90% of drivers are doing this. If you give majority of drivers an inch they’ll take a mile. I don’t care if you have millions of miles either you’ve done this and just not got caught.

Drive i80 Wyoming and get in the hammer lane and slowly creep around someone you’ll have somebody inches from your rear bumper mad. Then they’ll come over mad and not use their turn signal cause their too fat and lazy to use it. Plus their mad. Every day.

It will be in every truck soon. That tragic accident that killed those kids going to Disneyland, the Colorado accident. All needed drive cams to see exactly what happened but they didn’t have a inside cam. That stuff is making national news it will only be a matter of time trust me.

I doubt if dashcam will be standard for truck owners unless they bow down. This micro management companies are using cans to get rid of people.

What’s wrong with a Bluetooth, besides some pointy headed safety idiot at Saia decided to get offended by it?

I yap on my CB all day long, and in all my years of driving have never had that cause an accident.

It’s a bit presumptuous on your part to imply that nobody can be a safe driver without a camera lens watching them.

Any knucklehead can figure out the truck driver in that crash screwed up without a inside camera. He sideswiped a car and dragged it across the median.

    Gomer1969 and Texas_hwy_287 Thank this.
