It all depends on the computer. Some drivers had to do the hair and urine test and for me at that time the computer wanted a urine test and alcohol test. It was my first time ever having to take a breath analysis test to see if I was drinking alcohol while driving.

Hooked my trailer this morning and found I had no lights at all.....discovered whoever set this new volvo up didn't plug the pigtail into the truck....don't know how that escaped my eyes when I looked the truck over before getting into it, lol!

Check also that both of your fuel tank valves are open. When I got my new truck only the driver side was open.

They wanted me to do a breathalyzer my last random. Which happened on day 4 of my 4-day hometime. I was like "Even if I AM drunk, I'm off-duty and on hometime, so it wouldn't make any difference."

A few years back we had a driver get pulled in for a random at 9am on a Monday morning and failed the breathalyzer. Needles to say, he’s not driving anymore.

    Lonesome and MidWest_MacDaddy Thank this.

It simply amazes me... and irritates me...

Quaker in Carlisle, PA... i arrive at 2am for a 10am LLD, I am more than welcome to be sitting under an empty waiting for them to load me... and I am more than welcome to be sleeping for those 7-8 hours... but after I get loaded, can I simply hang out in some out of the way corner to complete a 10???

“Oh no... that’s just not possible... see we have this company policy that we can’t let drivers stay/sleep on the lot... see the sign???”

Sure wasn’t a problem when I was bumped to your dock for 8 hours... but ok...

Ya, I really hope these new ELD rules impacts them just a bit... but ya, we all know that won’t happen.

Does anyone know just where the “Rear Aux Jack” is located on these Volvos??? I see the option on the stereo but I can’t find the actual place to plug in my device. Thoughts?
