When empty tomorrow in Pembroke Pines, I will go down to Miami and pick up a load going to Centralia, Missouri for Monday.

I keep hearing about freight slowing down, my last four weeks the miles I’ve turned in 3137, 3354, 3816, and 3456. If this is a slow freight period, I’ll take it.

Done with a 3 week, 10,000 mile trip. Home for bloodwork, then a few days at the house. Back out on Monday or Tuesday.

Enjoy the long weekend, my Florida run has turned into a nightmare. The store wasn’t expecting us until next Tuesday, good times. It’s way above my pay grade, so waiting on the powers that be to figure it out.

You just have to love when there is no communication between the receiver and the shipper Leaving essentially that drivers stuck in the middle of the mess..

We are just pawns in a much bigger game. All I know is that if I have to sit on this load until next week it’s going to cost someone a lot of money.

So I sat at the store yesterday for 6 hours, my 14 was about to run out so I called dispatch to see if anyone had figured out WTH was going on, 30 minutes later I was told to go the closest truck stop and they would give me further instructions. Later in the day I was told to go back to the store at 1600 the following day, finally at 1930 I was unloaded. Someone somewhere dropped the ball on this, and unfortunately the driver is the one that gets the shaft. I have been assured I will be properly compensated for my time.

I will pick up a preloaded trailer Monday in Arcadia, Florida going to Newman, Ga for a drop on Tuesday.

Absolutely, anytime I have been in a similar situation FCC has made it right. Normally I would already know how I would be compensated, but our operations manager who authorizes layover pay and detention pay In situations like this was on vacation.
