On the longer block they are not tapped, on the short one they are.

I have to drill a 10.5mm hole in the mounting pad on the engine block as well. My new drill bits should be here in the morning.

 

They just used that size to encourage you to use their shop. But everyone knows Harbor Freight probably has those. Might need to buy a few spares tho LOL

 

Engineers particularly young ones convert decimal call outs to metric. A 10.5mm drill is the closest common metric drill to 13/32 which is a common clearance size for 3/8' bolts.

If they are BETTS style hangers use a single tarp strap hooked between the anchor holes and check that it is there every morning.
I used them for years and other than changing weather-checked tarp straps i had no trouble with them.

They don't have the coil, just a single bar. I can see them bouncing in the mirror, it's no wonder they break so easily. 1/4" square bar stock steel bent in a couple places.

I even found a couple more broken bar ends in the jockey box. I'll suggest those to him when we replace this one. But my guess is they cost more than the ones he buys (he strikes me as really cheap when it comes to certain things, but I understand, bottom line and whatnot).

 

Sorry, I should have been more clear. All 4 flaps had 4" clearance. Boss replaced one that wasnt there one day.. I assume it just wore slots and dropped because i could go over the curb with no pinching.

He puts new one an inch off the ground and wanted me to lower the others to match because he liked the look. which i refuse. I already do way more than i am paid for, not gonna spend half day redrilling 3 mudflaps for free then rip them off weekly or get out 10 more times per day.. My door hinge/latch is already shot as it is. Mud flaps that make me work even more just to look cool can stay on the ground where they get pinched off. Im only back at this job until someone else wants to put me in a truck. I fix real problems on this rig for free all the time. No sense creating extra issues for vanity.
