In 1996 to 98 or so I worked there but it was mostly grain wagons back then.. They used to be just outside of rosenort area at the farm. Pay was average I’d guess .. Chester and Lynn were honest bosses.. unless it’s changed they haul mostly ag products .. If what I hear is true their owner ops do well if they hustle

 

If you don't mind driving a Pete with a Cat engine and pulling a set of super B grain wagons you might try calling Mark Brandt Trucking.
Don't know if they're hiring but might be a decent gig, mostly MB and SK.
Have an old friend who's been there for a good while, he's a beat up old trucker with back problems, no complaints from him yet.

 

Are the owners for the Mark Brandt Trucking company good/fair? Do you know if your friend has steady work and how many days of the week he's on the road? Would definitely be interested in looking into this.

 

My old friend is a 4 million miler, he's off on most weekends, he's been there 5 years or more and he's quite happy, he and his wife told me so and a cranky old high miler that's happy says something about his bosses.
Far as I know the owners are good folks and easy to get along with, the atmosphere is casual, and it's a one big family environment without a lot of drama, old school trucking.

If you're green and fresh out of driving school I doubt they would look at your application, probably wouldn't entertain the idea of hand holding or extensive training to a green driver without B train experience.

I also suspect you would be expected to care for your ride and keep it clean, might even have to wash your own truck and perform simple maintenance tasks.

Best way to find out is go knock on their door, that way there's no dickin around, they can see your face, experience your personality and decide right there if you might fit in before you go to the trouble of filling out an application, give you perspective also to decide if it's the place for you.

If you can back up a B you're halfway there.

If it doesn't work out there and you don't mind tarps and chains, you're close to EBD at Inkster and Oakpoint, maybe cruise by there as well.
Another all Peter Car fleet that pulls super B's, the owners also own the Peter Car dealership so the equipment should be pretty good.

Don't be a schlepp, best advice I can give.

 

What kind of experience do you have? What are you looking for?

The company I work for is hiring flat deck and van company drivers (also O/O's). Van freight goes south or into BC and is pretty much no touch (Canadians can't legally touch it in the US).
