    I have seen them lose prime like that with a cracked filter base before. And those primer pumps are hard to push in if there's pressure behind it.

    You’re parked uphill in front of a big lake and about to file an insurance claim?

    I had to do a report on a car like that. I found a BMW in a lake only about two feet into the water. The gas pedal had a brick on it but the water wasn’t very deep. He apparently was behind on his payments, he screwed himself not checking the water depth first, LOL.
