The W-9 has always been my favorite truck and used to Paccar charged a premium for the W-9 and 379 and they sold a premium truck. Today, they aren't any better than any other truck and still cost more. And don't even get me started on resale value. Lol. In my opinion, the only reason to have a long hood is to dress it up. That's really the only purpose they serve. My Cascadia made more money pulling the same loads than the long hoods do.

I can't post a load pic because the flatbed I currently pull has those hard sided permanent tarps attached. I guess I'll be the one to derail the thread again. Lol

You had me sold, and I was just picking up the phone to call volvo, till you mentioned bikes, comfort and super sport. lol
I am a comfort type of guy when it comes to bikes, but super sport doesn't fit in the cass of comfort. lol GOLD WING, is where comfort is. lol

You arent kidding.. my w9 isnt even 2 years old and the build quality of the interior is atrocious.
The composite hood they now use cant really be repaired properly without extensive work. And the layout sucks..
Every w9 I've seen and been in from before 2010 is much more solid.

No no no, I started with super sports, and then I guess I grew up. Dont get me wrong. If I retired today, I would have a few track bikes. But now I want comfort and to enjoy the ride.
    I'm talking r1200rt or k1600b kinda comfort.
Harley is trash like kenworth, charging way too much for old technology just because of how it looks. I'd ride a gold wing before I would a harley... lol

BMW does make a nice bike and hey are tough, but for a highway bike I still peffer a wing.
I never owned a harley, because I always put way too many miles on a bike for one, but do not any more and never will again, so I have actually been eyeballing one. lol

Lmao.... yea I have a lot of respect when I see harleys loaded up with actual gear on long trips. 90% of harleys average less than 200 miles a year. Dont see many BMWs or goldwings with low miles...
Last year my step dad and I went from western VA to Daytona, then key west, back to Daytona and then home. It was great. My last bike was still too sporty for trips like that, so I sold it when I got home.

I assume from you not riding like that anymore, you had an injury?

No injury, just getting long in he tooth and health will keep me from riding like I used to.
That is if I even could, we do not have the riding season here to come anywhere close to the miles I used to put on them, 30,000 a yea would be hammer down the whole riding season here. lol

I actually had one of them, one of the better looking one I have seem baby blue with a wing on top.
It may just be the reason I would not take a look at a volvo today. lol\I got out of a 73 A model when I got the volvo white, roadboss with a hood stuck on it, and would have jumped right back in that a model if it would have had power steering and mayb e air conditioning. lol

It served the purpose, but thee was lots that I didn't like, and running the same freight and roads, as the old A model, it fell apart fairly quick, the doors started cracking within 6 months or so.
