Where is everyone #5

I was just on the phone with my Napa guy and he was telling me that every Napa has the choice to get their batteries from different factories. They just put the same stickers on.

He said they've been getting them from the Johnson Controls factory that also does Interstate batteries. And he said people complain just as much as before.

I have to see what the difference is in weight. I bought these ones I have now in Cambridge, OH.

 

Years past I always thought of napa batterys as good. I was under the impression they were Exide. Last your got one for the pickup and kid tells me they are now Deka. I have never had any luck with them. Guess it's back to Interstates. They normally give me 6 or 7 years of use in pickup or semi.

 

When are you leaving?

 

I found the $50 blems from Penn Power last about 2 yrs just like the $150 so called good wet cells like Exide, NAPA, etc.

I did break the bank to try a set of Batteries Plus house brand PowerX2 AGM's in my T600. Just over 3 yrs so far and still strong. It would take a decade to make the math work out since the set was right at $1200. The value is not having to change them as often. In that truck it's a royal pita, see below.

The pic was during the last experiment with Optimas. Don't waste your money on those. The set lasted 20 months. Fortunately I bought them at NAPA and they came with 24 month free replacement. The second set also went 20 months. At least I didn't have to pay for the second set.

 

Omg why is there so much wire in the battery box? That's a nightmare.

 

That's like Disneyland fer a big kid like you...huh ?

 

What yr truck ? If it's an 01 or newer w9 they have that dang voltage monitor in the sleeper that pulls power from the batteries all the time. You will hear a faint beeping every now and then. Disconnect that and batteries will last longer. I'm running on Napa group 31 for the last 4 yrs with no issues.

 

I have Oreilly batteries in my truck. My truck wouldn't start at my oldest sisters house winter of 15. So she ran up to oreilly and bought me 4 new ones.
