The problem with that is most drivers have been driving less than 6 months and they may not tell you that. They tell you everything is hunky dory then they quit next week.

I looked at the top right corner of your post and it says you have 2 years driving experience. Is that correct? If a guy that goes to work at stevens has 10 years experience, does he have to go with a trainer?

A person that has 10yrs driving experience would have to go with a trainer for a couple weeks.. Stevens is a very safety orientated business.
They want to make sure you can properly go down mountains without jakes and to teach qualcom and how to log correctly.. It is in all benefit to you and the motoring public. and make sure your able to drive safely. But after you go out with a trainer stevens will put you in a truck by your self.. you wont have to go out with a finish trainer.. I may only have 2 yrs experience but I am one of the safest drivers. Never an accident nor a ticket. And I have been with stevens for those 2yrs. So I know how and what they want. So if your a 10yr vet and dont wanna be with a trainer with 2yrs experience then thats your deal I am from a trucking family. I have only been driving for 2yrs.

I got over 9 years safe driving and wouldn't want to be a trainer let alone be trained by some guy that has only 2 years experience. I think this garbage with letting guys with less than 20 years experience be a trainer is a joke. Your still wet behind the ears just like me...LOL. What can you possibly teach a new driver with only 2 years experience. Let me guess you run coast to coast and know every road. It's insane that they let rookies train......

Quick note, I should be getting off this truck around the 5th and going home to see my sweetie. Then back out for another 3-4 weeks with the "finishing" trainer and finally get my own truck. Got to go check in with a pick up.

Well, life is full of little adventures. When we left our last pick up, the trainer said he needed to scale out. I looked in the little book he keeps on the dash and told him exit 118. He said he didn't want to go all the way back that far. I wondered bnecause we were at exit 131, but he is the trainer. So here we sit at the AZ border over gross by 700lbs and almost 3000 over on our drives. I don't know how much his ticket cost, but he says it's his fault, he forgot which way the numbers go and thought he was 80 miles from exit 118.
