The other issue for those of us using a CPAP for sleep apnea is that sleep apnea is a disability under the ADA ( Americans With Disabilities Act).
Under the ADA entities have to make reasonable accomodations for persons with disabilities. That's why service dogs can go into a restaraunt when you can not take your pet in.
You need to write a letter to PA specifically asking for an accomodation under the ADA to allow you to idle to provide power for using your CPAP machine.
If PA denies it then you need to file a complaint with the Deparment of Justice, Civil Rights Division for ADA accomodations.
I have been fighting with CA over getting an exemption to the CA idle law for CPAP users. WE need more drivers to file complaints.Texas-Nana, GuysLady and outerspacehillbilly Thank this. -
I use a CPAP also. I am lucky that I dont need the humidifier part so when its cold enough I dont have to idle, it will not kill my batteries, but I cant sleep if it's too hot! maybe the goobermint will pay for my motel bill! More likely they will just pull my medical card and put me out of a job. then I can go on welfare! SCREW THIS NONSENSE!!! -
Good luck finding a motel with truck parking. And no, I'm not leaving my truck unattended unless it's in my driveway.

I'm in Allentown right now, the temp is 72 degrees with a breeze blowing. I'm listening to "The Miserable Men" and both trucks idling on each side of me. Why idle when it'sthis temperature? If it was hot I'd be idling but to do so now is insane.
