What bank is it that you bank with that will allow you to keep an account with no money in it or little money in it without paying a monthly fee?

But of every broker that I have ever heard anybody talking about, they sound like they are the absolute worst and I think I'm just going to completely cross them off my list, never to do anything for them. -
Few months ago I needed to get home Asap and decided to book a load with
them, then this happened.
I was 70 miles out and the confirmation said detention will be paid after five hours, so I asked to change the terms in writing, before I sign it

That's what I mean about those guys.
It's one thing for a company to attempt to pay you a lower rate. It's a whole other thing for a company to sit down and try and figure ways to just flat-out screw you every which way. That guy sounded like a real douche.
Unbelievable.86scotty Thanks this. -
That's ridiculous,30 dollars per hour after 5....when you know darn well they are charging$65 per hour after 2.(industry standard practice)
That alone right there should have you concerned.
And this happens because sadly your"not needed"....
They have enough idiots calling them daily....too much capacity, they know it,now you know it.
I tried telling you guys for years to avoid brokers at all costs...They think they can do anything they want, untouchable pieces of trash.
Nobody listens -
A single $2000 unauthorized charge back would be the equivalent of more than 33 years worth of service fees.
In my specific case my bank is giving me their lockbox service for free which is worth much more than $5 a month so I'm money ahead even with the account fees.
You could run a hybrid version of this strategy and keep $500 or so in the payment account to avoid the monthly fee, but a $500 loss would cover more than 8 years worth of monthly fees.Last edited: Aug 24, 2019

How can any broker deduct money from your account , unless you your self give them access and and aproves it through the bank.

And they wonder why freight rates stay in the toilet.
-
I try pretty hard not to work with them and you've just reminded me why. -
Dino soar Thanks this.
