    Well first meal on this no food diet wasnt too bad @blairandgretchen itll prolly be what I end up eating 99% of the time if my sugars are like they were tonight. I'm not exactly sure of the time frame from finished eating to when I stabbed myself but I was down to 176hg which is acceptable. But I was also on the medication for the same amount of time as I'd last ate so idk if that got into my system in time to affect that result or not.

    @everyone

    In my attempt to not turn this into a source-ridden political meltdown I won’t post any of them. I find, if you don’t agree with a ‘meme’ I shared on the internet you’re more than free to do some research on your own about the issues with the single-payer system currently in Britain. If we think it’s only Britain experiencing issues with its healthcare system feel free to let me know. I got more to share about Brazil, Australia, etc... all under different variants of “universal health care.”

    It’s important to mention that I truly don’t have a dog in the healthcare fight. Besides my mother with diabetes no one in my family has any healthcare issues. I go for my yearly checkup, get told my eyesight sucks, and they kick me out the door. I don’t think that would make me biased towards the current cluster we have in America but seeing as many brought up their own personal grievances with it...

    More importantly, I find it’s important to share that I rather talk about the issues than the positives. Why did they do that and why didn’t it work? If you want the best healthcare on the planet shouldn’t that be your prerogative? If you think the article is wrong, that’s fine... I wager you didn’t bother checking into any actual sources from the current issues that the U.K. is experiencing as far as healthcare is concerned. It’s by no means a perfect system as some of our hopeful voters would like to assume. Moreover. Not every single payer system is the same. If you think a government ran healthcare system won’t have some hiccups? Yikes.

    I suppose — in any ‘meme’ or snip from Twitter someone will take it the wrong way. But, that’s not my fault and I don’t feel it as...my responsibility to hold their hand and bring them to the source themselves. We’re all adults. If they can get so easily offended by the “cut and paste biased view” they can easily research their opinion instead and form their own biased view. I wouldn’t say sources from academia in the U.K. are biased for or against anything in particular but your mileage may vary.

    The rest of this is rambling but since it was brought up... may as well clarify some things before I check out.

    I didn’t mention anything about anyone’s political leaning — it’s a bipartisan issue after all — I more or less mentioned that we will never agree on this regardless of party affiliation. Think we’re all already proving that expertly. Agree to disagree, etc etc. That too fell on deaf ears, or eyes.

    I grew up watching the news every mor— no, that wasn’t me. I didn’t watch the news unless my parents already had it on. Why don’t I? Emotions. People act irrationally once emotions gets involved. That’s what happens on television all too often. Facts go out the window and it becomes very opinionated. I prefer to read. Even if it is opinionated I can easily fact check it against a source on another page. That’s easy. Television doesn’t have sources provided.

    You gotta get your news from somewhere... best thing I’ve found is to read as much as you can from all sorts of sites and then do you own digging into the sources. Statistics can show whatever they want you to see. You gotta be able to take a step back and think about what’s on the table. That’s a whole other issue that I won’t even bother diving into... seeing as this one was already blown out of perspective.

    @blairandgretchen

    You somehow spent time thinking about this today and didn’t understand that my post wasn’t trying to refute or prove anything wrong that you mentioned earlier — just giving you words to think about. And instead of trying to understand that — you preached to the choir. How ironic. We can agree to disagree on the rest.

    This is your second time bringing up @sawmill and mentioning what he thinks of me. Maybe you should let me stand on my own two feet and not allow someone else’s opinions influence your own. Wore likes your cooking. Haven’t heard much else. But maybe I’m doing too many miles to notice? :/

    @everyone

    This place has been one big echo chamber for awhile now. Between beating the dead horses and the constant one-up nagging contests... My fuel tank has been running on empty for a few months. Think it’s time for me to depart for a good while before someone takes something else the wrong way and reminds me why laughter is still so important in this day and age. Take a step back. Catch y’all some other time.

    Talking to a man this weekend that runs about 6 trucks in his excavation company, employee dumped a jug of DEF in the fuel tank of his Ford, then realized what he did and turned it off. Still to late though, truck went into derate and is in the shop now, looking at $10,000 he said to get it fixed.....

    Yes but side by side doesn’t help, many give GM hell for putting the def under the hood. I see it as a good place myself......, Hey check the oil while you have the hood up!!

    Nothing in life is a one size fits all.....

    Far as I’m concerned you’ll always have a seat at this table, don’t stray to far. I wish all the younger folks had your work ethics........
