I'm not sure I begrudge them for wanting to sell and retire and rid themselves of this huge responsibility. Obviously the next generation was not interested. They are probably of the millennial age and we know the mindset of many of that generation. Maybe they just have different career goals or have left the BRF area for different pastures.

I do have a problem that they sold to such an apparently ####bag company. I have been doing research on Heartland since the moments after I found out. I have not really found any positives. On the contrary when I was looking to get into driving 4 years ago I decided on Millis because I could not find many negatives at all. Everything that I learned about Millis was true. I'm guessing those days are numbered now because it really won't be Millis anymore.

It would be interesting to know what other offers they received, certainly more than just Heartland.

Seems like Heartland is really pushing the fact that Millis management is staying around.
Heartland Acquires Millis Transfer for $150 Million

“However, we believe investors will be apprehensive about the transaction given what some perceive to be less-than-expected results from the company’s acquisitions of Gordon and Interstate,” Stephens analyst Jack Atkins wrote in a note. “Our sense is that this should be a much different transaction with minimal revenue churn, with Millis retaining its name and current management team.

Sure they did but Heartland had 149,250,000 in cash. That sealed it as it would for most.

As a former Gordon driver who was with Gordon for 5 years when Heartless bought them out the only advice I can give you is leave now...

Everything, and I do mean Everything that Heartland will tell you is a bold faced lie.

If they tell you the sun is shining then put on your raincoat.

TokyoJoe, BazookaJoe and JOHNQPUBLIC Thank this.
