North Carolina buys about 20 semi loads of rock per day from tennessee ill reckon. Same for atlanta.

A fool and his money are soon parted. Theres nothing free about getting a 5000lb rock out of the hollar and delivered 400 miles away either. Thats a handful of people needin paid.

The biggest one I sold was 6000 pounds, and we unloaded it first at the landscape yard I sold the load to.
By the time we finished unloading the trailer, it already had a sold sticker on it. lol
I don't know about a lot of people, it was sometimes just me, sometimes I would have one guy or my wife to help get them rocks out and up to where I could get the truck. it wan't too bad either. I took a lot of the boulders and made planters and even some bubblers out of them and they really brought good money.

We quarry. I haul wholesale stone to retail yards. Ive had entire semi load be purchased while im unloading, and instead of going in the lot it goes onto a site delivery truck.

    Rocks are EVIL.
I can spend weeks picking the basterds outa fields.
When the snow melts the following year it'll be just as bad.
They must have an orgy all winter under the snow...

dem is worthless rocks, boulders bring good bucks in the right circles, the more eosion worn or moss coverd the better.
I used to haul some hard black boulders out to he phoenix area that was covered in colored moss, they paid good money for hem, never that moss wasn't going to live in that climate. lol
I have also hauled big cut rocks out of quarries, granite and such to machine shops. I had two rocks on that I took to a machine shop south of albuquerque, from the texas hill country and was 8,000 pounds over with two fricken rocks. lol
I took a machined rock door frame, from a machine shop in Tx, to a house they were building in Co. That door frame was invoiced at 26,000 bucks, plus the trucking. The house was basically a mansion and all rock.

Would’ve been perfectly legal on my Virginia superload annual permit if my rear axle was down. Instead I was fine on my annual in Nc but not VA.... no matter I’m almost at delivery now :angel4:

Edit: come to think of it I wasn’t fine on either annual permit. I had front overhang which isn’t allowed......

I just had to jump in here with the rock haulers. This one was 30+ tons and we did not slide it off on the ground! 1982 near Cambria, CA going to Morro Bay, CA. for the breakwater.

I hauled a full load of loose boulders from Denver to Iowa city Iowa. Guy said it was for his “Grado” around his pool.

He tipped me in cash MORE than the whole load paid.
