Because certain "safety" departments believe that if you can't see a truck at high noon without their lights on leaving the lights on will help, it's just more survival of the stupidest ideas.

Just like driving through the terminal with your 4-ways on the whole time. Because it's a rule and we would all be smashing into each other if our lights weren't blinking.

Visibility equals safety. This is a fact not a bogus claim.

Believe me, if somebody doesn't see a truck in broad daylight, having the headlights on isn't going to help any.

Anything that makes my truck more visible is A-ok with me! Plus I won’t forget to turn them on in the rain or at dusk.

I run headlights during the day.
Also my 4 ways on customer property.
    Daytime running gets attention.
Ever notice a car or motorcycle cause of the headlights?
    Also..
I do haz mat and should there ever an accident and litigation, the lawyers can never say I could have done more to increase visibility.
