Just curious if anyone here has restored an old Tractor. Or currently owns a classic. Maybe an old Pete, but not like a 379, maybe an older oddball.

Maybe a K100 or even a W900A? Mack R or an old Autocar? Gmc General? Maybe even a Diamond Rio. Better yet, is anyone here currently running a classic?

I'd love to see some pics if y'all have the time!

You might like this ongoing thread started by truckdad. Lots of cool iron here, While mechanical parts are always around, finding certain parts for old trucks can be challenging. Hoods, body parts, some interior stuff ( try finding an original round dash water temp gauge for a 359), but it's a lot of fun, does the same thing as a modern truck, and you can thumb your nose at all the new reg's. I had an '82 Western Star, a '72 Pete 359( in avatar) and a '85 Pete 359 day cab. I'm retired, but wouldn't drive anything but an old truck today.

I've played with fixing up some old medium duty junkers. It's fun.

Medium duty's are less money too. Years ago I did that. Had several, mostly old farm trucks bought for $100 bucks. Had a '66 Chevy C60, a '55 Ford F500 with hoist, a '52 Ford F5 single axle dump truck and all horribly inept for todays travel.

Yea they are bad lol. I had two Chevy's like that. That one was a c60 1981 if I remember correctly that had a 350 and a four speed, hydraulic brakes, etc. Basically an over grown pickup and I had a 77 c70 that had a V8 2 stroke Detroit, 9 speed, air brakes, basically a bigger truck shrunk down. That one wasn't as bad but still not really a useable truck in today's world. They were just fun to fix up and use to beat around in because they were older.

V8 2 stroke or a V8 8.2 Detroit? Never seen a V8 2 stroke in a medium duty, drove one with a 4-53 long ago with a 5/2 setup. It needed more for sure lol.
