If I'm not mistaken a cell phone use ticket is a mandatory $2750.00 ticket to the driver, and if there was an CVSA inspection form done the company will get a $10,000.00 fine.
Lawyer up and see if they can cut you a deal.
Question on my first ticket ever for anything.

No inspection done just got a ticket, said I just had to pay a fine.
-
The fine will depend on which law enforcement agency wrote the ticket, and statute it was written under.
If it was a local cop the fine will prob be less, if it was the CHP you could be looking at the high dollar fine.1styeartrucker Thanks this. -
Was in town, wasn't speeding or anything. So was a local motorcycle, gave me a Stern talking to, I kept saying I was sorry hoping he'd have mercy on me.

Either way don’t simply pay it. You’ll be admitting guilt and a cellphone ticket doesn’t look good on the resume. I’d prefer donating the local county $500 and getting a 30 in a 25 zone than pay a $300 cell phone ticket.1styeartrucker Thanks this.

I've seen some ads for drivers that specifically say, "Cell phone ticket is disqualifying."
1styeartrucker and Ffx95 Thank this. -
What jurisdiction? City,county, state?
What is violation code?
Post the ticket. Remove your personal information first. -

Section 23123.5 is the Calif vehicle code (cvc) for cell phone use without using hands free.
While it is not classed as a moving violation in Calif, if your license is from a different state it could be classed as a moving violation in your state.
Points are assessed based on the state in which your license is based, not the state that you received the ticket.
Any way you look at it, cell phone tickets on your driving record can be a huge career obstacle.
Get an attorney get it plead down to something else.
As it stands now the ticket will be approx. $50 to $300 put fees and penalty assessment, but career wise it could be a problem.
Paying an attorney $1000 to $2000 could save you 3 to 5 years of headaches.baha Thanks this. -
That's a full 10 points against your company's CSA score, considered a critical violation..
