Step 2 is securement. -
The idiot driver was strike 3.
The 3° event.............maybe he cannot change that.
Strike 1 and 2 could have been avoided. -
What about a trip chain across the front using coil pads to protect the compressor....would've likely kept it from sliding forward and in turn shifting to one side.

Ok, it doesn't matter at all what is under it or how much friction it has if it is not secured, but belive it or not just some cardboard helps keep something like that from sliding.

1 are never wider than 96" which means straps pull almost straight down, where they are most effective.
2 have places at the top for chaining to again pull straight down. The mount on this is 8 inches above and outside the trailer.Tug Toy and daf105paccar Thank this.
