I've seen people get pulled over in it on 275 driving 13 mph with the 4 ways on in the the 4th, 5th, and 6th lane, I'm guessing that's what it was for. In a real rain storm it is seriously dangerous, you can't see a ####ing thing except blinding red flashes when people do it.

That’s a good way to get plowed in the ###. :biggrin_25521:

Geez, at least go that slow in the RIGHT lane. :biggrin_25510:

Can you imagine how happy the FHP officer must be having to get out of his car in that crap? I don't think there is anyway out of that ticket lol.

I preemptively turn them on when I know I’m going to get slowed down to 45 or below. Way of letting any truck tailgating me know “hey I’m heavy you might want to move over”

Honestly, I was trained to throw my 4-ways once I get 2 gears down. So I do. Especially through the Siskyous where I've had ######## pass me ON THE ####ING SHOULDER. You know, in Oregon. A state where shoulder driving is hella illegal

I hate it when people use the shoulder to pass. Even 4 wheelers do it. There are a lot of us that will drive half in the shoulder to keep people from doing that.

I hardly ever use 4 ways. They're overused by so many people its to the point they don't really mean anything anymore. The only place for them, IMHO, is for when you're broken down, stopped in construction, or when driving slow uphill. You know, for actual hazards.

You driving half on the shoulder is no more legal than the guy passing you on the shoulder, driving on the shoulder can net you a ticket.
As far as 2 ways here in Cal it is required to run them if its raining, and I believe that if your under 45 on a highway or freeway it is also required.
