Anyone running line for FedEx Freight out of Memphis? I'm looking to transfer and would like to hear about the runs and pay. I'm currently in the Bay area of California. We get per hour, I'd like to know more about how it works outside of CA.
And to the old crusty ####### that's gonna tell me that's a question for the Terminal Manager.. I know, but they're closed today and tomorrow and i want to know now.

Out of Memphis? You’ll be on XB for a while.
Paid by the mile, paid a half hour of your hourly rate per drop, per hook and 1/4 hour for fuel, trailer or tractor swap. Hourly delay pay after break on a hub turn over 475 miles only.FlaSwampRat and Cohiba Thank this. -
Also, you’ll find the difference in being paid by the mile and running on highways with higher speed limits than 55 sans an aggressive CHP will be a significant pay raise, probably to the tune of 5-7 dollars an hour if you break it down.

A topped out shuttle run of 444 miles in the C pay scale works out to a paycheck of $1886.98 gross.
Mathematically, you'd run probably around a 57mph average across 65mph highways, accounting for pulling hills etc. It probably takes an average of 15 minutes to hook or break a set and the same for fueling, topping def and other fluids as well. That means you are averaging about 45 hours of work for that run, not including the break or time spent waiting for freight, which in turn equates to about $41.75/hr for all work performed.
You'd have to perform about 50 hours of work at 38/hr to run the same gross pay on that run, again, not including dock work.
CA going to hourly was only a bump in pay by way of the 55mph highways and aggressive speed enforcement by CHP.FlaSwampRat Thanks this. -

I saw that position open up, and my first thought when looking at the location is that it is 20 miles away from the West Memphis terminal. So the question to ask someone who works there would be...is the bottom of the road board a pathetic 40 miles per night?
Edit: And it’s actually 3.5 miles from another FxF terminal that I didn’t even see at first.Last edited: Sep 2, 2019

We have a few niteliner runs (with dockwork) that are 22-27 miles apart i think round trip or one way.
