If you’re company driver how much $ do you make

The company I just went to work for Kemira, requires 2 years, but pays the same if you have 2 or 30 years, they pay 28.00 during the first 90 day, including training then it goes to 29.50.
So go to WMI or something local for a couple of years and your in.

cuz if i recall, at one time (maybe they still do) Yellow started one as a casual, and paid well..then if you hired on, the pay was lower, but you also got full benefits...Yellow drivers can explain this.

 

Yeah Yellow started you casual and then as soon as you went full, the pay dropped. You got decent bennies, but the pay hurt some.

I love the language... just put in your time and "Your in!" Time used to be eternity. In order for me to get a pension at KW I had to have ten years... used to be fifteen.

Everybody wants it easy.. I think I see at least one every day here... Lighter load, smaller truck, shorter days, more pay. I didn't realize it was so monotonous. It took years to be the boss, and even longer to get paid like a boss. Then when you make someone painfully aware of it they get all ticked off and yell some expletive at you attached with "Old Man". As if you were too stupid to get the job back then and are even more stupid now.

Work people.... use your money to work for you instead of you working for your money. Get something in your finances that allows you to dictate the terms. For every smart one there are ten dumb ones who never learn that lesson.

 

Theres a ton of 100k+ trucking jobs. Your never gonna get one if you never actually "start".

Your attitude will be well noted when you reach your final decade of life, and your insurance and savings aren't as iron clad to Big Pharma in America as you think they are. Or if something like war or another Great Depression breaks out. You know, things out of your control, but things that obviously happen throughout history in cycles.

No participation trophies just for showing up for Boomer Buddy, better get a job or die and/or better yet, just rot in that nursing home to die.

 

You obviously have never heard of off-grid.... or off shore for that matter.

That’s what protecting your assets is all about. I’m not just talking money... I mean tangible stuff others will wish they had.

Nah, I made assumptions based on what I know happens to the majority of elderly Americans when they get old - lose it all to Big Pharma and get sent to a soulless and cold nursing home to die from their kids.

If Buddy wants to pretend his finances and insurance are all iron clad bulletproof never fail plans, where he won't ever have to rely on anybody else, that's on him.

I'm not offended. That's why I post. Yes, It's a forum, so when boomers post a statement, be prepared to take your blood meds when you get a response from a millennial you might not like.
