Outstanding thread, I'm looking forward to watching the Pete get back on the road. If you don't mind answering, what are your plans for the Mack and Pete?

Plan right now is to run both trucks. Myself probably run the mack on the long haul stuff and the Pete on the more "local" runs atleast to start with. Mabye a year after that if I find the Pete to be my truck of choice for everything. I might consider selling the mack or possibly consider putting a driver in it if I can find a suitable driver

I didn't read the whole thread. Did anyone mention this?

This guy did a whole series also. I watched yours also and subscribed. Great thread and videos. I'd love to be able to get some old iron and save it!

twinsticks359 is a youtube user name. he has a 79 359 with a cat and 5x4 he has been working on restoring for a couple years now on youtube.

i had seen a few of his video's before i got my 359. iv been going back and watching some of the ones i haven't seen yet sense i got my truck...lol

i sent out a few e-mails today reaching out to company's that make tools for installing the huck rivets. to see if any of them want to be a part of my project by supplying the gun for installing the blind huck rivets looks like they retail about 2 grand and i wont need it after im done with this project so im kinda hoping one of them will reply back.....lol

if not i think if i used carriage bolts with red locktite and took any bolt head markings off with a belt grinder no one would know the difference on the end product.

also transferred the title on the truck into my name today. the title was signed off from a estate a couple years ago and the truck has gone threw at least 2 owners sense then before i bought it so defiantly wanted to get the title in my name before i put any money into this truck. luckily didn't have any issues there.
