Dan, a city man, decides to move to a small cabin in the mountains.
After 6 months of hardly any human contact, except for venturing into town for supplies, he hears a knock at the door. He opens the door to find this big surly bearded man standing in front of him.
“May I help you?”, Dan asks.
The name’s Jim. I live bout 2 miles down the road in my cabin. I’m having a party this coming Saturday and I thought I’d invite you seeing that you are new and all here.”
Dan accepts the invitation, “Great! I haven’t been out in 6 months!”
Jim says , “ Gotta warm ya, there’s gonna be a lot of drinking at this party.”
“Well, I’ve been to a few bars and held my ground with the best of them,” Dan replies.
“A lot of fighting goes on at these parties too,” Jim warns.
Dan smiles, “Well, it be nice to get out, I think I can hold my own.”
Jim offer, “there’s gonna be some wild love making .”
Dan laughs, “Well, I have been alone for 6 months.”
They exchange numbers and just as Jim turns to walk away, Dan asks, “What should I wear?”
Jim replies, “Anything you want...it’ll just be you and me.”

I've got my pair of CSA boots with MET guards, so steel toes are not a necessity, and will increase the weight of the boots for daily wear. I'm looking solely for a comfortable pair of boots because I'm sick of wearing sneakers outside of the truck. Even though I might drive a white Volvo, I'm not some typical steering wheel holder and don't want to be presumed to be one.Feedman, PoleCrusher, exhausted379 and 13 others Thank this. -
I've had horrible luck with CAT brand boots TBH. But I'm also in mine and on my feet 12 hours a day, working around oil, coolant etc. For being worn maybe an hour or 2 a day while loading and unloading they probably would last quite a while.

Well I find everyone and every boot is different. Anymore I buy Ariat boots for Wellington workboots and Justin for western style work boots. I've tried them all. Used to buy Rocky's being made in Nellsonville Ohio for lace up boots, but since the went to China, I feel they are junk. One warning If you weld or use a plasma cutter/torch. Did not wear slip on boots. I have a spot on my right foot burnt from cutting stainless and catching myself on fire. Now dress boots, I like Tony Lamas. I may not be the best to ask cause I have worn a size 14 since freshman year in high school. Sometimes have to buy what is available.Feedman, PoleCrusher, ShooterK2 and 12 others Thank this. -
