I agree that 4 personal shirts and trousers is a bit much. And seeing as now a days, working in a truck is pretty clean unless flatbedding. 1 each should do him.

The key is to take as little as possible Incase you need to bug out..

I’d limit the clothing to just clean work clothes..
leave the flip-flops & shower shoes, you really don’t need them for the showers.

Boots or sneakers, whatever you’re most comfortable wearing while driving. Although I have a pair of work boots in my truck I haven’t had a need for them in 3 years.

Pencils? You’re not going to need them..

Cell phone with unlimited data nationwide. $400 cash. 1/2 the clothes and shoes you think you need. I’d leave the kindle and book at home as well.

    Travel light.

It’s also important to give your trainer a $20 tip per day and you should buy him lots of dinners. :D

Only thing I might change. Not sure what work pant and shirts are vs personal. I just have one set of clothes.

10 socks and underwear. Because if you don't do laundry ever 7 day. They don't take up much room

Just a pair of sneakers unless you doing flatbed or something that requires boots

Dark clothes and black socks so you don't have do separate load of white laundry. If you have dark colors you also don't have match clothes up. Everything kinda goes together since you only have 8 days of clothes. It's like $2.50-$3.00 per load at truck stops. White stuff is ok just have wash them with other clothes or take the time and money to wash them separately

Truck drivers are a funny bunch; "I can't figure out why I keep missing a sock; now I have mismatched socks", knowing full well they keep one sock stuffed in their pants.

I use 3. It’s to impress the ladies and intimidate the other drivers.

I bought one pair of square toed steel equipped good against oil and fuel on the sole with a shank in it from a provider of Boots in Maryland. (Hes probably long since dead.)

I put 40 #### years on that pair. The clutch sole finally started wearing too much and were disposed of.

I use a bellevue tankers marine issue (Civilian sale only line, not pure USMC stocks) for summertime and they are holding up well. (They better due to the cost)
