I can't believe you guys are making this so hard. OP, all you gotta do is call TQL. Once. One call. From then on they will call you every day, if not every hour, and offer you only the best loads in the industry. You're gonna be rich. You're welcome!
D.Tibbitt, FoolsErrand, PE_T and 2 others Thank this. -
Subscribe to DAT loadboard and start calling anyone there is. 2 out of 7 will say no but the rest will give you loads.

OK, now why would a broker have trouble giving this guy a load, if he has had an active authority for two years, Even though he has been pulling for another person, if his authority was active he was insured. The broker can easily see this and will assume he has been pulling loads. I do not recall brokers asking me for references, but maybe that has changed in the last 10 or 12 years too.

If its cheap junk you need a truck and pulse. Maybe a tarp.

Check this guys channel out on YouTube.
Auto Rebuilds Garage
Scroll down to the older vids, he used to be a dispatcher for a trucking company and he'd live stream him dispatching trucks and dealing with brokers.
He changed the focus of the channel into a auto rebuilds but all his old trucking related vids are still there. He's a younger guy but it gives you a good feel at what to say and how to deal with brokers.. -
Thought i'd dig this thread up. since my OP, i have officially just booked my first load. I called tql and they sent me a packet and i booked my first load.
i also signed up for truckstop . com. my question is do i have to fill out a packet for every different company that is on truckstop? -
You may feel tempted to start adding a lot of brokers, but don’t! Well, not yet at least. When you’re new to negotiating load rates, it’s likely that you won’t be able to get the best rates. So it’s best to have a few brokers at the beginning to avoid being labeled by many brokerage companies as the “cheap” motor carrier. Once they know you are willing to haul cheap, you cannot easily demand a good-paying load even if it’s fair.
