That's a heck of a long drawbridge. One end is in Jacksonville Florida and the other end is in St Joseph Michigan ?
    Wow.
Well, that's one way to bypass the Atlanta 500 I suppose.
How much was the toll ?

I had everything to get the boot off the turbo, just didn’t have nothing strong enough to withstand the suction at such high rpm’s.

I remember dad talking about a 71 series Detroit setting in the floor getting prepared for its initial start and tune. While the mechanic was adjusting the buffer screw it went for a moonshot!!! Dad said the man yanked his heavy blue jean jacket with the wool lining off and waded it into the intake....... the floor got covered with blue jean confetti!

If you ever have one run away, PLEASE don’t stick your hand near the turbo....!

2 stroke Detroits were a bit notorious for this, but this is the first I’ve heard of it on a big cam.

Pretty much the best driving day I could have asked for (one of the best I've had in quite a while actually). A little fog between Banff and Golden, but the sky opened up as soon as I reached the bottom of Ten Mile Hill and didn't cover over again from there.

I also wish there wasn't so much traffic on the BC-97A, because I definitely wanted pictures! Mara Lake is jaw-dropping.

You know I always wondered about a Halon fire extinguisher. Just dont breath it or you will be setting right were you did that. @1951 ford can you still buy Halon?

    Bout rattled my fillings out.

    I don't have fillings.

I knew about the snuff out but wasnt sure about any other possible method. Also part why I said such a high gear. Figure a high enough gear might keep from twisting the shaft. Figured worse case itd smoke the clutch if it didnt stop it aside from the engine damage

In the right situation they all can. Oil left the turbo and entered the combustion chamber as un metered fuel. Sky is the limit. This is why it's so important to wash out charge air cooler. Lot of guys put new turbo on and it runs away because charge air cooler is full of oil still. Now I dont recall what or why but some Cummins pumps had issues and would run away. Had a company truck with a 444 do it and I was to young to remember what the issue was.
