They where in the East coast of Jacksonville.
Now there going to be moving more inwards.
I have many friends in central Florida.
And some other family in Miami.
How are you?
Where you able to get home on time to be with your loved ones?

Phone call this morning... wanna go to Florida? Sure ok... Florida turned out to be Jacksonville... lol

Sure, I’ll avoid I-95 and take US 301 and stay inland... hoping to come around the system and not touch it until I turn east and head to Jacksonville... and then it will be on the much weaker southwest side of it too.

So, skirted the system all the way south from I-26 (which was closed eastbound) through Statesboro to Florida... barely a wind blowing.

Get to Jacksonville and as the bugs are still on my truck, barely had a few drops of rain...

Rather anticlimactic... {shrug}

 

Now let’s hope and pray that Georgia and the Carolinas are as lucky as Florida has been with this storm.

My oldest daughter and soon to be son in law live in Savannah... they work for the local university which closed due to the hurricane.

So they opted to take a “Hurrication” and headed for Chattanooga for a few days of fun and exploration... they are having a great time.
