I just spoke with a recruter from American Eagle, and she said my App. looked really good, and she will be emailing me some paperwork to review and sign over the weekend. I'm rather excited, and I really have not heard many bad thing in regards to this company. Any thoughts? Been laid off for a month and a half now, and I going stir crazy lol

yea,a/e is ffe, they dont give you a conditional pre hire only to send you home from orientation later, although thier hireing process takes awhile, once your in,your in,have been there for a year and a half, have found them to be fair.good luck

Thanks for the heads up. I was getting nervous. Sherri keeps assuring me that everything looks great, and she will call tomorrow when everything is finished.....then I dont hear from her. I was under the assumption the recruiters were like a hungry dog at the dinner table....never leaving you alone. I guess AE is different. How was your training? And what about your truck....good one...able to use an inverter...etc?

ahh I remember the recruiting stage. There are a couple of fine women working up there it's the only thing worth going to the Dallas terminal for anymore haha.

Where do they hide them? I went back to see my recruiter last week and didn't notice any that tickled my fancy. LOL

On another note.... lonewolf... do you happen to have a truck w/an APU? I been noticing a few company trucks with them. Breakdown told me they have Carrier, ThermoKing, and F/L on some. Spoke with the man upstairs and he said it's all hit and miss if you get one. So he told me next time I'm in the yard to see him. I have my pup on the truck so I would love to get a truck with one.

Nah I am just idling like crazy, I had a lil discussion with the fuel nazi (alex) a few days ago though. I refuse to suffer in the heat just because they don't get me the miles I can run. Rita was one of them, there was another 1 that was spanish that I liked quite a bit.

I'd like to get an APU, but I don't want to pay the $100 for a truck reassignment

Pet carrier policy ship. 1c a mile and $100 cleanup fee if you're assigned to another truck (despite the fact they don't actually clean the trucks up).

So if you pay a 1 time fee of a $100 you can get a truck with an APU?
