Yesterday situation. For some reason, my son was enthusiastic about participating. Quote of the day: "This is easier than drum brakes on a car!"

Today we got parts for a repeat of the above on the rear drive axle. Then some misc small stuff I had to make a run to Peterbilt to get. The trip across town goes a lot better at midnight.

Yesterday and today fun-n-games were facilitated by me finally prying open my wallet and investing in a gas powered compressor and big air gun. I finally hit my limit dealing with shops and delays getting quick jobs like this done, just to have it done wrong half the time and then lose more time/money for their 2nd try.

Harbor Freight had a truck mounted unit for $300 more, also with a 2 stage pump and bigger tank. I opted for the lesser one from Northern Tool since it was more portable and better constructed than the HF one. I don't have a forklift and ain't permanently mounting one in my pickup. After a couple hours cutting and cussing, I got a 1/2" line plumbed in. This one kept up with the 1" impact gun nicely. I'm never the biggest fan of working hard, but at least now I got more options.

I think I may have already mentioned it, but I found out Aleve comes in 100 count bottles with a non-childproof lid with a rubber grip to make it easier for old people to open.
