Sounds like the driver I had last February who refused to swap with me, if you recall that story. The one where she wouldn't answer her phone and I had to go find her in the restaurant in the TA.

    I remember that same situation.
“The Queen Of England” among us; being a Royal Pain! What I can’t figure out is how a person like her is still around?

I remember about two years ago speaking with Cole when he was my DM back then. In our conversation over the phone at one point I said to him... “Cole if at any time there is a driver that needs to get home and I have the load that will get him home... PLEASE! Let’s get that driver home! Give the load to him or her! Let’s swap!
In my personal opinion after each of us for weeks come out to work when home time comes around it is the most important thing we are looking forward to be with our loved ones and relaxing.

I agree with the general sentiment here... having had a few issues with getting home on time for certain things, I certainly would do anything in my power to help another Driver get where the need to be and when they need to be there... while I hope that is never used by the powers that be when that is not the case, I certainly would go above and beyond for another Driver just trying to get home and on time.

And yes, sounds like it might be the same Driver... and none of her #### business if it was an “emergency” or not... and it probably wouldn’t do any good to comment up the chain as I highly doubt anything would be said to her or action taken against her.

Sad we can’t purge a few of these weak links.

Finfn1372, JohnBoy and jarhead0311 Thank this.

Yeah I agree with everybody else,if you sign up to do a job do it.

I don't get how some of the drivers get away with it,you know I'm not going here, needing wake up calls,etc...

Got swapped early this morning and on my way to hometime. Got there and parked and walked over to her truck with paperwork and a copy of the scale ticket since was a heavy load. Swapped paperwork and I go back to my truck and unhook and drive over and she still sitting there and motioned me over. She asked if I had lowered the landing gear and unhooked her and I said no, most drivers don't like others touching their truck. I didn't hear her tell me to unhook her and stuff earlier apparently....I got her unhooked and backed under and hooked up and inspected the trailer. Needed two tires replaced and tandems were slid all the way forward on a 30,000 lb BH load. Looked like she hooked it and took off without checking anything.....5 min later she calls me and tells me there something wrong with the trailer I dropped and her fifth wheel jaw wasn't closing....I started thinking I was going to have to back her truck under and hook other trailer for her.....I knew there was nothing wrong with the trailer, so I walked over and checked her fifth wheel and it was latched. Only thing I can think was she got stuck in the grooves and divets in the asphalt but there was nothing I could do about that, almost all the spots had grooves in them. I took off before she could find something else to complain about. Glad I don't have to cancel my doc appt I scheduled 5 weeks in advance along with my scheduled home time.....

Watched a CR England driver run across the parking lot at 3:30 this morning in flip flops as I was cleaning my windows before leaving out for my swap. He tripped on a crack and almost fell. Lucky he didn't fall because he would have slammed his face on the steps of his truck. That is why we are told not to wear flip flops.....Also watched an suv lose a wheel on the interstate and keep driving a bit on the rotor leaving a nice groove in the pavement before he decided to pull over. Lucky he didn't cause an accident. Was an interesting day today....

OMG! Who the freak is this woman? I NEVER expect another driver to unhook me when I’m swapping with them. That’s just total BS right there. All of y’all that have had dealings with her should let someone up there know what a PITA she is. I’m ticked and it’s not even me. Lord, have mercy! Let me have to swap with her. She’ll know Jesus after I got finished.

I’m willing to bet that encounter with Jesus will be rather quick.
Him opening up the gates of hell pushing her thru then locking them back up.
