Best thing I ever did was get out of debt 100% and go to 100% money and zero debt and zero credit rating. Freedom is a wonderful thing.

That’s why I’ve always used my CCs for gas, kept track of the amount, and paid it off every month. Keeps those darn creditors happy should I ever need to get a loan!

Clerks are arrested regularly when they try to do a soft transaction to see if a card is good.

Cards are canceled and a new one issued in a few minutes the charges reversed and the Law gets involved on the trail. We are strictly cash when we get gasoline. Believe me if you examine the body langauge of the young ones they are not interested in cash. Because its not embezzle anymore to them. But hand them a premium fat credit card? Catch the moment's glow of dollarbills in their eyes when they lock on the #### thing.

Then go home and check for very recent soft charges.

We did. As a food and beer business we had piles of 100's on the coffeetable along with vendors billing to pay or 3000 dollar utility bills etc. We kids knew enough to leave "Daddy's Bill money alone" as in not to touch in those days.

Fast forward to today... "All gone" if you live long enough that is what usually happens to many elderly.

But what we did not really understand then was the buying power of that money in those days. Against the inflated worthless mass it has become today.

it did end. 1971 Nixon signed a order closing the gold window. In 1972 when things settled down he signed another working out the Silver Certs in circulation and replacing with Federal Reserve Note on the back of all money.

As a experiment some years ago I brought a silver cert dollar bill worth about 10 on the private market to the bank and asked anyone younger than 40 if they knew what this was. They only said that the policy of the bank is to remove them from circulation and send to the little rock fed reserve building for destruction. Its essentially worthless to them.

Sure Fort Knox is our Gold reserve, but if you check the M6 number you will understand that 100.00 bills in circulation overseas outnumber today's issued 1.00 bills in circulations as everyone and their mother use the bank of matress as some of their nations fail.

Or just work for a mega. Your wallet will be so thin it's like it's not even there.
