I’d consider regional though if the pay was substantially better

Where are you in Ohio? Lots of drivers on this forum from Ohio can give you leads for local jobs.

If you go local, and there are local jobs for newbies, many OTR companies will want you to ride with a trainer before giving you a truck for OTR. If you get local experience, you will quickly show the trainer you are ready for OTR. Most OTR newbies quit before they complete a year. In the past 1 year OTR was a requirement for any local job. Not any more. As long as you learn to back, go around corners, and maybe shift a manual transmission, you will learn enough to make money. You can always do OTR later if you discover you need to roam. Some do, some don't.

If it the place I think it is I been thinking of puting in a app there to It would be a good place to get home everyday and make good money you could probably work 7 day a weak and that's when the overtime really kicks in you would make more then a fresh otr diver would make right off the bat but you would probably be worn out every day at the beginning
