I need to eat A LOT.... a couple days ago I checked my weight...
Went to the middle of nowhere yesterday.... over 30 mins driving on a dirt dusty road... glad it is not the rainy season....
We were the only vehicle on the road... and caught attention from the folks on the front porch...
Goats crossing the road...
People walking....
That's the "carnauba" tree.... don't know much about it....
Some of the houses are made with clay and sticks... no power...
The village where we were able to obtain my dad's Death Certificate 4 days after his burial.... and the guy at the "office" typing on the computer couldn't even spell words and read the numbers correctly...
Back on the road....
More "carnaubas"...
And cactus...
Today we went to another small town... so many holes on the road that vehicles have to drive everywhere.... see the truck in front of us...? That's a two way road...
We were fixing to pass it on the incoming lane when he had to move to the left to avoid another hole...
The road from there to Fortaleza (capital of the state of Ceara) is full of big holes... almost 5 hrs driving... it SUCKS!! That's why I find even the worst roads in the USA not so bad...
Later today I was driving in Hidrolandia and saw a cow... or maybe an ox (can't remember) standing at an intersection.... there was another one that crossed the street quickly... but that one stayed there until the man on shorts started to yell at it and throw rocks... then the animal moved away...
Visited the street market again...

And the meat market... just for pictures... cause I am vegetarian...
People put tables and chairs on the sidewalk... they drink and chat....
People walk in the middle of the road.... that's a two way road...
My dad's lady's son is a trucker.. he drives in the region... that's him in the blue truck...
The Catholic church in the main square Hidrolandia...

Went to the house where my dad had his things... all very dusty... had to move furniture around to have access to things...
One of the drawers had a nest of baby rats...the mother escaped...
Sorted piles of paperwork, books, boxes, pictures, trash...
The skinny guy on the left is my dad back in the 50's.... when he was an airplane pilot student...

Just joshing you men. That was a great shot. -
Napa he was parked there. Lol. It's a IH truck cab and I will have to find out. I know who he is, but I dont Know him. He hangs out with a cousin of mine. Guy has built some cool rides. I think he tried too hard, or not enough on this one. But hell we have all wished for a do over.
