    You need to get a lawyer to handle your dad debt no one is responsible for his debt. Also sorry for your loss I had two very close friends take there lives and it messed me up for a very long time finally told myself that I would never figure it out to leave it go. But it take time you telling your story is a big step. Just keep trucking life will some day down the road get back to happier times.

    Oh wow! Sorry brother! I have no doubts about you. You have what it takes to do great things. And your right about one thing......GOD is not finished with you. A year ago i was told i had stage 4 and a tumor has stopped my right arm from working. I still have cancer and here about a month ago i was told your right arm and hand will never work again. I bet it want belong ill be let go. I haven't heard word from the company i work for. But they have managed to take every benefit away from me, even tho I paid for them monthly. Thinking of getting my on little trucking company up and running with one arm. So i tell you this. If God be for us who can be against us. Stay doing what doing. Im back listen in.

    Had to take another couple of weeks off to go through my dad's storage units. He had 3 of them stocked full after he sold his house 2 years ago. Took us a while to go through it all.
    I got a bunch of his tools and put it in my shed.

    I think Im still in shock about what happened. I've started listening to the radio again. Often a song will come on that ill have to skip past.

    Rates are starting to get better im some areas, as does this time of year. I'm actually on my way to Los Angeles area. I hate going there but I got a decent rate. $4900 on i think ends up being 1750 loaded. Very light also.

    LA looked like it starting to pick up. Hopefully a bunch of cheap chinese Christmas gifts come flooding across the ocean like it did last year. Along with whatever else Trump put tariffs on.
    We'll see what happens.

    Aiming for $4500 to ND MN WI but they are used to paying $1.50-1.65. Cheap rates. I'm not doing the 1800 miles for $3000. Fck that. LA is a little better than that right now, or should be.

    I really need to end the year on a bang. Plan on staying out most of the rest of this year. Have a lot of catching up to do.

    On a side note, my truck is 55% paid for. 29 more months to go.

    If I make it and get it paid off, without copping out and selling it first, I'll consider it a success.

    @CaptainDaveG are you alive?

    BW, I am truly sorry for your loss. Fathers always teach us about the great things in life but when it comes to dealing with their passing it’s a completely different rule book. And sometimes you have to give yourself time to grieve,even if it means getting away from the truck for a minute. And pain hits hard especially when certain days of importance as far as fathers are concerned come up (Fathers Day,fathers birthday/death,holidays like Thanksgiving,Christmas,4th of July,etc.). And the 1st year is always the hardest. It takes time for it to subside for some people.
    Hang in there. We’re all rooting for ya.

    If you give it your best, you’re a Success. It’s that simple, regardless of the outcome. The older you get, you’ll realize just how much you’ve actually achieved. Someday, you’ll look back in amazement,wondering, how did I do all that? My Father used to say,” You’re never fully a Man, until your Father dies.” He had a lot of sayings, mostly quoted from a book he’d read. I leaned on him a lot. Thrived on his praise. Going forward, without that praise, was difficult, however, knowing he would be proud, goes a long way, even now, 20 yrs later. Hang in there, glad to see you’re still running. Rooting for you in the “D”
