    Close, but no cigar.
Whatever doesn't kill you, just makes you stronger.
    ... and the like.

I'm glad he's OK. You have a strong son.

I picked up a trailer at the Baytown Walmart DC in TX.
It was red flagged with having no mud flap and no bracket. And the red tag was old and dusty.
I'm wondering, how did it ever make it here - or, how long has this trailer been here?
But it was my problem now. Lucky me.
The person dropping this trailer should get a service failure.

It is a blitz load, and it doesn't deliver until November. Lots of time on it, and I am t-calling it at the OK terminal on Sunday.
So I got it fixed here at the Houston terminal. And here I sit for the night.

I haven't been here for a few years, and it is the same dump hole I remember from back then.
This has got to be the worst terminal in the network - except for the service.
I pulled up to the shop and they got me in right quick. Had me in and out in about an hour.

The terminal might suck, but the people are great!

Ive actually witnessed a yard dog back a trailer up too hard and knock off a flap on a curb or hill side. Far as red tags i seen many a central trailer back when that never had them removed. And ive dropped a trailer like that, but it was because i blew a tire on the way, was able to get the tire fixed but no mudflap, DM said get er done. Plan was too have them service the trailer on site, but that only ever happens half the time you report that ####.

But on the flip side, in some yards you can absolutly grab a red tag trailer. Driver probably couldn't find any thing else didn't give a #### and ran with it.

Ive more than once grabbed a red tag, took it around to a truck stop, got what part i i need, fixed it in 10 minutes and gone on with my day. I mean when i can fix it in the time im on hold with onroad, its probably worth the price of whatever crap i need.

Im sure theres some out there that do just the opposite.

According to a friend who's an ER physican "Whatever doesn't kills you frequently leaves you scarred for life". In my son's case he'll be on blood thinners for the rest of his life.

An optimist view vs. a pessimist view.

You son is alive and doing well, even though a med is now necessary.
I choose to see it through the optimist's eyes.

I'm at a service area on I-44 in OK. No food on the truck so I'm stuck with McD's.

What is SO difficult about ordering 2 quarter pound hamburgers?
She puts it in as 2 quarter cheese with no cheese, and I said no, it is 2 quarter pound hamburgers, There is a button for that so I am not paying for the cheese.
She puts it in as 1 burger. I notice when I look at the receipt.
I go back and mention it to her and she says just a minute.
The girl on the register next to her asks what is the problem and I tell her, expecting her to simply place another order for me. She walks away and starts doing other things, and the first girl is ignoring me.
I mention it and the second girl asks for another quarter pounder.

When I get the bag it has 1 quarter pounder with cheese in it.

What is SO hard about getting a burger with NO CHEESE?????

I go through this ALL THE TIME. I've given up being upset about having to pay for cheese that I don't want. However, I WILL NOT accept a burger with cheese.

I don't get upset when they get the order right. It is when I order it without cheese and they put it on anyway.

And I'm so so sick of EVERYTHING having cheese added to it these days!
