So just got back from delivering to Reno. OOOOOH no got snowed on going over Donner. So it begins. Took usual 3 hrs. to get there return trip 6 hrs what the hell people it was just rain. Amazing news is there was no chain control. There was close to 10,000 snow flakes on the ground and stoopid CalTrans didn't put up the control lol

I think they do that to slow everyone down.
The “ I know how to drive, and I got AWD or 4X4 “ crowd will just motor on at 65+ and crash. Maybe take a few with them in the process.

When I first got Casper there was an abandoned Walgrene's about a 1/4 mile away at the nearest big intersection. I parked him in the back for about 4 months.

Then enter the stooge with a refer. And he parks next to me all weekend and leaves it running.

I thought, " No good will come from this."

That Monday I'm sweeping out the trailer here's the property owner, " You can't park here."

So I find Halberslaben's terminal about 2 miles away. Make a deal with them $100 a month. They never blinked an eye placards either.

Fast forward two years, Halberslaben is selling his company, terminal is going bye bye end of October.

    This^

Asked an officer one time and he said, one of the many reasons to put up chain controls on the trucks is to slow all the traffic and minimize the wrecks.

Saves the state a bunch of money with fewer emergency responses. And no they do not give a rip about the trucks chains getting worn out unnecessarily.

See now if you lived someplace sensible you could just park it in your drive...

That is harsh. Any other places close by?

Superstition Truck & Trailers Over on 51st has parking slots.
Former company was located on that lot. Would see others parked there.
