I woke up thursday night thinking i dreamed someone was loading my trailer and i felt a rock. Friday morning my back stake pocket and rail is smeared and the marker light busted. Someone caught the corner and took off.

Its a hammered quarry trailer, not worth fussing over in my case.

Edit: Being a guy who has unloaded everything from lumber to pipe and tried to not bump the trailer, I understand accidents happen. It's in the way it's handled. I personally wouldn't dream of brushing an incident like that off. There will always be an offer to make it right. But, if the driver is willing to let it slide, that's his choice.Last edited: Sep 21, 2019

Finding out about the most powerful and terrifying weapon ever built was a reality and YOU and you alone had to decide whether to use it very soon. Right after you get sworn in with absolutely no prior knowledge of the possibility of that kind of weapon ?
Having to keep the War ending instead of morphing into a different stage between the Soviets and us with the English on our side ? Patton openly advocated for that to happen and we should preemptively attack while we had a superior position.
Patton wasn't the only one who wanted to keep going and war against communism. On both sides. Stalin was a Evil man but at least they stopped the insanity, for whatever reason they were motivated by. Possibly because of the existence of the nuclear bomb and Stalin knew about it before we used it and he knew that he didn't have anything comparable to it, so he reigned in his forces. He settled for running about half the world. By himself. Basically.
Then Truman and company had to figure out how to feed millions of people in devastated, tore up countries who had no currency left to speak of plus no way to even feed themselves.
There were definitely some challenges in his time in office.
Challenges which he dealt with more successfully than he's been given credit for at times.
Then Truman had to deal with Korea and again try to contain a War from exploding into a War between the Soviet Bloc, including China and the many satellite countries in Eastern Europe, including half of Germany.
While Truman was dealing with all of the problems of Korea he was forced into firing his very top general for insubordination. Say or think what you want about MacArthur, he was a Prima Donna and a disgrace in my book. Truman was the Commander in Chief and MacArthur deliberately disobeyed orders. Possibly to gain political weight for a run at being President himself, although that's pure conjecture.
Truman did an outstanding job in trying times. He sure wasn't perfect but no human is.
Only point I'm trying to make here is that it wasn't easy. Although it is easy to think it was and I've been guilty of thinking that he had a cakewalk.
Good morning gents.Last edited: Sep 21, 2019
